The African Imaginary held a dinner for 100 people at Ikeja’s hot-spot IKOKO, where we introduced our work to festival headliners and friends of Ake who made up the fantastic audience. As numbers for our dinner swelled during the planning stage, Lola laughed and said, “In West Africa you need to make space for amazing people who will just arrive!” Here’s to new ways of doing things, and to blowing the world of The African Imaginary wide open!
