This week from Nigeria we welcome Joshua Omoijiade. Joshua is a writer, architect and artist. When he is not writing, he is creating illustrations which he likes to pair with a voice-over as a way to turn an artwork into a story. Joshua also has a love for African literature and he approaches reading as both a personal practice and a means of exploring broader questions of culture, identity, and storytelling.
Here are his 5 Favourites:
- Fine boys by Eghosa Imasuen
- Half of a yellow sun by Chimamanda Adiche
- African Myths of Origin Edited by Stephen Belcher
- Sanya by Oyin Olugbile
- Radiance of Tomorrow by Ishmael Beah
